Barça Ready for Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
